An original abstract acrylic painting on unstretched canvas by contemporary American artist Robbie Kemper (Cincinnati, Ohio; born 1957), titled Cobalt and Pastel Drip. The painting depicts aggressive, broad horizontal lines in shades of pale blue, periwinkle, and yellow with cobalt paint dripping towards its base. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. White margins have been left to each edge for stretching the canvas, and pastel borders have been drawn at the piece’s edges. Kemper studied art at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton Art Center in the historic district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio.
