Moshe Castel Original Artist's Proof Deep Etching
Item Details
An original signed aquatint etching with deep etching accents and a la poupée coloring on laid paper by well-listed 20th century Israeli artist Moshe Castel (1909 – 1991). The print depicts an abstracted tablet-like form with scribbled characters and lines along its lower edge. A crimson red circle is set into the upper right corner. The print is signed and labeled ‘E.A.’ (abbreviated for the French words for artist’s proof) in graphite to the lower corners. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a rounded wooden frame with gold tone finish and a hanging wire. More information about Castel can be found below under Additional Information.
