A pair of oil paintings on canvas by self taught artist Nora Alleda Hirano. The first of these smoothly painted, realistic paintings depicts pink, white, and red gladiola inflorescences against a dark background with warm, glowing light. The second painting depicts a single red rose, and is signed in paint to the lower left. The painting of gladiolas is unsigned. Both paintings are presented in beveled wood frames with gold tone inner edges and hanging wire to the verso.
