An original watercolor painting on paper by listed and locally renowned Cincinnati artist Alene Rogert, signed to the lower left. The image depicts a whimsical winter landscape in which two ice-skaters enjoy a frozen pond on the outskirts of a small town, surrounded by snow-covered terrain and woods, rendered with a compellingly exaggerated foreshortened perspective. This painting is mounted behind cream mat, under glass in a beveled wood frame, equipped to hang.
Condition
- light discoloration to matting and frame. Accretion on and under glass and on frame. Frame is notably worn.
