A collection of Scott’s Novels and The World’s Greatest Books multi-volume sets. This collection features six volumes from The World’s Greatest Books by Joint Editors Lord Northcliffe (Alfred Harmsworth) and S.S. McClure. The volumes include ‘Science’, ‘Fiction’, ‘Lives & Letters’, ‘Philosophy & Economics’ and ‘Fiction.’ The selected volumes were published by McKinlay, Stone & Mackenzie, in 1910. The have black three quarter bindings with marbleized inserts, gold gilt lettering to the spine. Also included is a eleven volumes of ’Scott’s Novels’ including the ‘Chronicles of The Canongate’ and ‘The Surgeon’s Daughter’ These books one-quarter leather bindings with burgundy inserts with gold gilt lettering and raised bands to the spines and marbleized page ends.
