Item Details
A power-loomed Decorwool garden area rug. This wool rug features a Persian Bahktiari-style design in a wide-ranging palette leaning toward crimson, slate blue, cream, deep midnight blue, and darker shades of green. The field consists of twenty rectangular panels, each containing a mihrab shape and imagery associated with a formal Persian garden. Pictorial elements include willow trees, junipers, and sprays of a variety of different flowers. Framing the field are four borders, including a primary border that also features pictorial panels including palm trees, evergreens, and willows. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with ivory cotton fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
