A pair of hand-tinted lithographs reproducing engravings by Giovanni Volpato (1735-1803) after frescoes by Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, or Raphael (1483-1520). These images from the columns in the Vatican’s loggie use Ancient Roman imagery and style while depicting statues, mythological creatures, foliage, and more. They are presented in wooden frames that are wired for hanging.

Condition

- some toning to paper; small amount of debris under glass; small rips to backing paper..
