An original contemporary oil painting on canvas by well-listed American artist Brian A. Becken (born 1949). Becken is best-known for his painterly beach scenes such as this one, which depicts a family in flowing dresses sitting along the shoreline and smiling at one another. The painting is completed in short strokes of thickly-applied paint. The painting is signed in purple to the lower left, and is signed again to the verso. It is presented in a stunning wooden plein air frame with cast surface embellishments, seamless corners, gold tone finish, and a hanging wire.
