Antique Neoclassic Style Demilune Chest with Marble Top

Item Details

An antique French Neoclassic style walnut demilune chest with a marble top. The demilune marble top is a light gold with dark umber and orange veining. Carved foliate banding is featured to the frieze with a narrow drawer to the top center. The rounded sides of the chest feature a single curved door with oval medallion embellished with a carved rose garland border, with carved ribbed corner spandrels. The chest has fluted pilaster to the front sides with carved floral blocks to the top and the base. Three drawers with raised center panels and framed borders, each with a pair of brass laurel wreath pulls. The drawers are framed in a foliate border. The base frieze enjoys a carved lobed design. The chest sits on tapered fluted legs.
