Early 20th Century Chippendale Style Secretary Bookcase
Item Details
An early 20th century Chippendale style secretary bookcase. The mahogany case features a broken-arch pediment centered by a turned finial above a pair of astragal-glazed doors. The doors open to a three-shelf interior over a slant front concealing a vertical dividers, drawers, and a central, prospect door. The writing surface extends over a stack of three serpentine, long drawers. The fronts are fitted with brass tone handles with batwing backplates and the secretary rises on ball-and-claw front feet.
