Item Details
An original oil still life painting on masonite by an anonymous artist. The image depicts a fruit arrangement in a brass bowl with a pedestal foot placed on a round tabletop against an ambiguous white, pink and gray backdrop. Rendered in thick, scarcely-mixed impasto paint applied with a palette knife, the image takes on a highly textured, tactile quality. This painting is mounted in an older beveled wood frame with cast molding and a dilapidated gold leaf finish, equipped to hang.
