A lithograph print on paper after a nautical illustration by artist Peter W.M. Griffin, published by Hugh Evelyn Prints. The piece, titled 1837: P.S. Great Western, depicts the 19th-century steamship, built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, in side profile. The piece is titled to the lower center along with the subtitle of Brunel’s First Great Marine Masterpiece and a notation of ‘Built at the Yard of William Patterson & Mercer, Wapping, Bristol’. The image includes the artists’s name printed in plate to the lower left, with the publishing company listed to the lower right margin. The print is matted in maroon and presented under glass in a rustic wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.
