Von Schierholz Porcelain Bowl with Figural Supports

Item Details

A porcelain bowl with figural supports from Von Schierholz. This bowl has a serpentine gilt edge with hand-painted floral designs along the interior, and applied pink rose, purple poppy and yellow flower designs along the exterior. It is raised by four putto-style figures holding the bowl with their hands and facing outwards, each in a colorful pair of shorts. The piece is marked to the underside ‘von Schierholz Made in Germany’.
