Hand-Knotted Pak-Kazak Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Pak-Kazak runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of cranberry, cerulean, gray, and cream. It features an infinity pattern beginning with five starburst medallions arranged vertically over a cranberry field. Each medallion encloses a gul with out-pointing arrows amid abstract motifs. Framing the field are two borders, including an unresolved major border featuring alternating boxed florets and geometric Shirvan-style bracket motifs. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with ivory cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
