Pair of Griffen, Smith & Hill Majolica Butter Pats and More
Item Details
A group of three majolica butter pat plates, circa 1880s. Two are Etruscan Majolica by Griffen, Smith & Hill, and feature the same oblong begonia leaf shape with slightly different ceramic finishes. The third piece features an Etruscan Geranium leaf pattern, with a lovely finish that fades from bright green into yellow at the edge. The begonia leaves have the impressed mark for Griffen, Smith Hill on the underside; the geranium leaf plate does not.
