Item Details

A pair of serigraphs on linen by Robert Darr Wert (1915-1966). These folk art prints depict traditional work scenes and quotes. The first print depicts a man and woman building a house with the saying “Bless our house each brick and rafter may it be filled with peace and laughter”, and the second print depicts a woman and child holding harvest tools with cut wheat and a basket of fruits and vegetables with the saying “A harvest of peace – produced from a seed of contentment”. Both prints are signed in screen to the lower left corner with “by hand” in the lower right corner. Both prints have an inscription printed on the verso. The prints are set in light brown wooden frames with sawtooth hangers on the verso.
