A Chippendale style cherry dresser with mirror. This dresser features an oversized top with beveled edge over dentil molding, two columns of stacked drawers including drop bail pulls with openwork decorative backing plates flanking a smaller drawer over cupboard door and panel sides. The dresser includes decorative scalloped aprons and terminates in bracket feet. Some of the drawers include escutcheons and the door opens to reveal linen drawers. The drawers include dovetail joinery and a marking reading ‘Sumter Cabinet Co.’ Also included is a coordinating rectangular mirror with broken bonnet and finial top.
