An oil painting on linen canvas titled The Cracked Time as part 4 in the series The Shooting of Buddha by listed Russian artist Dmitry Sansjiev (20th-century), created in 2002. Depicted in a sort of ‘cracked’ appearance as the title would suggest, the work features a methodical composition of continuous, random lines in the form of cracks. A dark, silhouette form appears in the center of the canvas with sporadic circular forms throughout. Signed and dated in ink to the lower right. Inscribed to the verso with informative labeling in both Russian and English, again signed. Presented without glass, float mounted in a box frame.
