A collection of three botanical prints on paper. Featured are two vintage-to-antique intaglio prints, including a 19th-century print from Nouvelle Iconographie published by horticulturist Ambroise Verschaffelt (1825-1886). The piece, titled Lêcher à fleurs de Camellia, is accented in soft hues of green, pink, cream and yellow. It is titled to the lower center, with Verschaffelt’s name printed in plate below. The second intaglio print is unsigned and includes painted accents in green and pink. Also featured is an offset lithograph after a painting of pink flowers by A. Marlin. All three prints are presented under glass in wooden frames with hanging wires to the verso; two are set inside matching oval frames while the third is presented in a rectangular frame.
Condition
- to Fair; some toning, foxing and discoloration to all three prints; residue present beneath glass; surface wear and scratching to frames.
