Mary Lou and Edward Higgins Art Pottery
Item Details
A grouping of three art pottery pieces including a rectangular vase, goblet, and figurine by American artists Edward and Mary Lou Higgins (1926-2012). The pieces feature figurative surface drawings with carved accents by Mary Lou including a torso with hands holding an image of a zebra, faces, and a bust. The figurine is topped by hand-crocheted hair, and includes high-gloss metallic glazes, which are also used on the goblet. The vase is marked ‘Mary Lou Higgins 1977’ near the base, the goblet is marked ‘Pot by Edward and Mary Lou Higgins 1977’, and the figurine is unsigned.

- some craquelure to inner glazes of goblet and vase.
