Carved Architectural Salvage with Lion Head Design

Item Details

A pair of architectural salvage pieces with a lion design. These pilaster-like pieces carved from mahogany and are topped with open mouth lion heads cropped above the eyes. The body of the pieces are accented with raised foliate designs that sprout from a bud-like design at the base. They are unmarked.

Condition

- Larges losses, particularly near lion’s heads. Will require cleaning.
