Pair of Rococo Revival Balloon Back Chairs
Item Details
A pair of Rococo Revival balloon back chairs. Each of the chairs features an oval back on inward curving stiles continuous of the frame, a padded seat with a serpentine skirt, and cabriole legs. The larger chair has curved arms bent at the handholds connecting with the knees, the smaller chair has short angled stiles, or low arms, which connect the bottom of the chair back with the seat. Each feature decorative carved detailing. Both chairs are upholstered with beige velvet fabric, tufted on the seat back, and smooth on the padded seat. The larger chair has matching velvet pads on the armrests.
