Item Details
An original 1968 oil painting on canvas by a Filipino artist named Yambao. The painting depicts a still life, featuring a marbled round vessel sitting in a mysteriously dark setting. Vivid green grapes reflect bright light in the foreground. The painting is signed, dated, and noted as being created in ‘Manila’ very faintly in blue paint to the lower right; it is almost impossible to see with the naked eye, but becomes far more visible under a blacklight. The painting is presented in a wooden frame with very dark stain and white trim. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
