A Safavieh carved Chinese area rug. This hand made wool rug features a central lotus flower pattern with vases and foliage surrounded by meandering floral and vines in the cream field. The broken border offers a complementary pattern flanked by a guard border with scrolling leaves. The rug has been carved along the design lines for a textural appearance. The rug is bound seamed to the underside and has a tag marked ‘Safavieh Savonnerie Collection’ and ‘Made In China’.
