An original acrylic painting on a circular terra cotta plate circa 2000 by the Haitian writer, poet, playwright, musician, and painter, Frankétienne (b.1936). Frankétienne is best known as the ‘father of Haitian letters’. This abstract expressionist style painting features a unique colorful design that is all blended together, which is hand signed and dated by the artist to the lower margin. This piece has a small wire for hanging to the verso.
