A set of two identical early 20th-century albumen photographic prints by listed American photographer Jessie Tarbox Beals (1871-1942). The prints depict a woman with a brunette bob in side profile. Each photograph is signed ‘Beals N.Y.’ in black ink to the lower right. The items are also stamped to the verso with ‘Jessie Tarbox Beals, 13 East 57th Street, New York City’. The prints are presented unframed. Beals was a pioneering figure in photojournalism in the early 20th century, becoming one of the first published female news photographers.
