Lucian Lupinski Oil Painting on Board Coastal Seascape

An oil painting on board of a coastal seascape by American artist Lucian Lupinski (1918-2002). Portrayed with thick loose brushstrokes and textural impasto, this work features sea waves crashing into coastal rock formations. No signature was found on the work, however Lupinski’s estate stamp is present to the verso. The work is presented in a brown wood frame with a textural grain.

Raised in Ohio, Lucian Lupinski studied at Ohio State University, the Grand Central School of Art, the Art Students League in New York, and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He was an artist-in-residence for The Saturday Evening Post. His murals can be found in the Toledo Cathedral, the Museum of Art and Industry in Chicago, and religious buildings in eastern U.S. states.
