Item Details
A handwoven Turkish flat weave and embroidered area rug. It is woven in a palette of cream and two shades of pale cornsilk yellow. It features a rectilinear pattern of embroidered geometric and subtle notched woven panels over a cornsilk field with shades of variegated cream. The rug has double overcast selvedge edges and turned down, woven edges at top and bottom. It is unmarked.
Condition
- could benefit from cleaning; the rug has some minor marks; creasing; there are some broken/loose threads on the surface; loose threads on the underside are characteristic of the embroidery process.
