Antique Hepplewhite Style Maple Chest of Drawers

Item Details

An antique, mid-19th century Hepplewhite style maple chest of drawers. This item features a molded cornice over five graduated and dovetailed drawers. Each drawer features a center escutcheon and two bail pulls with oval backplates. The pulls appear to be newer reproductions of an antique English pull, with a crossed cannon and trumpet with ‘Trafalgar, Nile, & Copenhagen’ on ribbons, naming three famous battles of Lord Nelson. The drawers are flanked by fluted stiles which terminate in square feet around the serpentine apron. It is marked ‘New England Antique Furniture Repair Shop Inc.’ on a sticker to the interior of one drawer.
