Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Drop-Front Desk

Item Details

A vintage Chippendale style drop-front desk. This mahogany veneer piece from Mandel Brothers in Chicago has a drop-front writing surface that opens to reveal nine cubbyholes and one small central drawer. The base has three drawers, each with two bat wing bail pull, and sits atop four cabriole legs, the front two of which have carved claw and ball feet. The piece is marked ‘Mandrel Brothers, Chicago’ to the inside of the top drawer.
