An artisan signed and hand-crafted bench. Constructed from reclaimed barn wood that dates to the 19th century and walnut wood, the piece is signed by artist Melinda Esmond and dated to the underside. A sculptural piece, the bench has a smooth weathered patina, crafted with a substantial piece of walnut wood to top.
Esmond creates both commissions and original works inspired by her own ‘urban organic’ aesthetic, often drawing texture and imagery from textiles used in her Interior Design career. She has exhibited at the Mojo Collection as well as other galleries in Kansas City’s reputable Crossraods Art District, and has pieces housed in permanent corporate and private collections across the nation.
