Chinese Ink Wash Hanging Scroll of Landscape
Item Details
A Chinese hanging scroll with an ink wash landscape painting. This scroll features small figures, village houses, and boats floating on a water stream winding throughout the village. Calligraphic characters and a red seal are present to the upper right. The piece has been mounted onto a beige silk brocade. Work is presented unframed and rolled for storing.
Condition
- foxing and stains throughout scroll; small holes scattered throughout; wear throughout scroll edges; small rips along scroll edges; silk brocade is curling and detaching from paper along edges and corners; larger narrow hole in lower center area; white scratches scattered throughout painting.
