Item Details
A circa 1960s Bennington Potters hippopotamus bank. The pottery bank, 1565, after a design by potter David Gil, features a hippopotamus with large nostrils and an open mouth. The piece has a coin slot on the back, a round plug hole on the belly, with stamped marks.
Condition
- slight wear around eyes and nostrils; shelf wear on underside; missing plug.
