A 20th-century Chinese bowenite vessel carved in the form of an archaic style bird. The head of the bird acts as the lid, lifting at the neck to reveal a small container. Carved in an archaic style with rigid, geometric designs and forms. The vessel sits on a fitted camphorwood stand.

Condition

- to fair; right most toe is gone; carving on the back of the head is missing; chipped front part of the head; some minor scratches and marks.
