Hunt Slonem Oil Painting on Board
Item Details
An oil painting on board by Hunt Slonem (1951). In several shades of blue, this painting depicts a pair of birds perched on a branch surrounded by other foliage. The artist uses heavy impasto to create a contrast between vertical and horizontal lines throughout the painting. It is signed and dated 2010 to the back of the board and presented in a gold tone wooden frame. Hunt Slonem is an American artist and member of the Neo-Expressionist art movement. His work, often featuring tropical elements such as birds, was largely inspired by his time in Nicaragua.
