Pair of Framed Giclees After "Life" Magazine Covers
Item Details
A pair of giclees after Life magazine covers. Includes the a print after an advance number edition depicting an abstract rendering of various forms of transportation with a couple embracing. The title and edition are printed in black across a pink banner at top. This print is presented in a black wooden frame with a teal linen line, under plexiglass. Also includes a print after the November 17, 1927 cover depicting a woman leaning against a purple car in front of a pink background. In the upper right corner is a white box that reads ‘$2500.00 in Cash Prizes ’How Well Do You Know America?’ See Pages 10 and 11 in this issue’. The print is signed in plate by John Held Jr. below the front wheel of the car and the date and price are printed at the bottom of the image. This print is presented in a black and silver tone metal frame and triple matted, under glass.
Condition
- Some scratches to frame. metal frame has screw holes is sides. May require cleaning.
