20th Century Federal Style Commode Chest

Item Details

A 20th century Federal style demilune commode chest. The mixed wood case features a demilune top with radiating bands of inlay above three columns of four, conforming drawers. The cockbeaded, mahogany fronts are fitted with metal, bail handles and the chest rises on carved feet. The case is further embellished with floral-carved and reeded stiles continuing to a stylized, foliate-carved apron.
