Vintage Normende "Transista" Portable Radio

Item Details

A circa 1950s-1960s vintage ‘Transista’ portable transistor radio by Normande of Germany. It has a dark blue vinyl veneered case with a carrying handle, and receives MW (medium wave, i.e. AM), SW (shortwave) and ‘UK-FM’ (presumably British FM) bands. It was in working condition at the time of cataloging.

Condition

- tested and working, able to receive AM stations at least (shortwave generally works better at night and the item was tested during the day, and UK-FM is presumably British and couldn’t be received). Hairline crack to carrying handle, but not all the way through.
