Antique Richard Klemm Porcelain Teacups and Saucers

Item Details

A collection of ornate antique china by Richard Klemm of Dresden. In a pattern known by collectors as KLE6, the pieces feature panels depicting 18th century courting couples, alternating with floral sprigs on vibrant color blocks, bordered by hand applied gilt detailing. This includes a teacup, two small plates, a saucer and a small bowl in the black variation, as well as a teacup, four small plates, a saucer, and a small bowl in the yellow variation. These are presented with a teacup and two small plates in a burgundy, and small plate and saucer in a deep rose. Each is marked with the blue overglaze mark of a crowned ‘RK’ mark and ‘Dresden’, that was used by Klemm from 1886-1916.

- minor marks and scratches throughout; some of the gold tone paint is fading in places.
