An oil painting on canvas of a gardening scene. This Impressionist painting depicts a lone gardener plucking poppies from a vibrant, overflowing flower bed, which runs deep into the distance past a lone barn. The background composition is rendered in pastel and mint green tones, with maroon, canary yellow and cream to the foreground. The painted canvas is wrapped over a wooden stretcher with hanging wire to the verso. To the lower leg of the stretcher is a brass tone sticker with information from what is believed to be the artist, Joyce Hall.

- minor wear along edges; light fraying to edges of canvas; edges of canvas slightly buckled; slight paint residue to frame verso.
