Circa 1957 Custom Roark Tooled Leather Case For Hank Thompson

A circa 1957 bench made Roark tooled leather case created for Nashville legend, the King of Country Swing, Hank Thompson (one of the three ‘Hanks’ which included Hank Snow and Hank Williams Jr.). The case is designed to hold cowboy boots and a cowboy hat for the singer with his name embossed to the front amid arabesque floral scrolling. Custom built by Roark is stamped on a metal plate affixed to the case.

Condition

- to fair; marks and scuffs throughout; leather on handle cracked and flaked; lid cracked; one latch broken; minor tears to leather.
