Louis XVI Style Chest of Drawers

A Louis XVI style chest of drawers. This piece has a distressed sage green finish, with gilt accents. The rectangular top has incised decorative lines forming a border in gold tone. To the front are two dovetail jointed drawers with carved gilt leaf appliques in an overlapping vine design. The drawers are flanked by thin recessed panels with carved gilt leaf vines. To the sides are recessed panels with carved gilt leaf appliques. The apron is notched with a carved gilt foliate spray to the center. The chest rises on four stop fluted legs with carved leaf detail and gilt accenting.
