Partial Antique Elizabethan Style Oak Tester Bed Frame

Item Details

A partial antique Elizabethan style oak tester bed frame. This bed frame includes a canopy with recessed panels featuring carved circle and leaf pattern with carved molded trim. The canopy rises on turned and carved posts. The high back headboard features relief carvings of dragons, unicorns, flowers, and a two headed bird. The rest of the headboard includes three relief carvings of women flanking two arched recessed panels. This piece terminates on block feet and includes two side rails. There are no visible maker’s marks.
