Item Details

A semi-antique hand-knotted Kurdish carpet runner. The rug features a herati and floral pattern in a palette of cream, red, pink, and maroon on top of a deep indigo field. The field is enclosed by a compound border that features a running water guard border and a primary border that features a leaf and flowerhead pattern throughout in a matching palette with a pink background. The rug has an overcast edge with a wool fringe to either end. The rug is marked ‘Made in Iran’ to the back, with leather srips affied to the selvedge to prevent curling.
