Signed Hand-Knotted Turkmen Tekke Ensi Area Rug

A signed, hand-knotted Turkish Tekke Ensi area rug, having a ‘candelabra’ pattern form. This rug has a central pattern in dark chocolate and sand tones, framed by a series of compound guard borders in the same colors. The field is framed by a double cross pattern in ivory, ecru and mocha, with a lattice panel to either end. It is signed in a cartouche to the lower left corner. It has overcast edges and long, hand-tied cotton warp fringe to each end. Unlabeled.
