A power-loomed Mirage area rug by Couristan. This Belgian-made wool rug features a contemporary abstract-geometric design in a variegated palette of camel, burgundy, gray-sage, terracotta, and black. It consists of vertical rows of panels containing column-like motifs, double-sided crenellations, and floating rectangles, in a variety of combinations over a multi-hued field. Framing the field is a single border in variegated taupe. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at top and bottom with short wool warp fringe. It is labeled on the reverse.
