Tom Lohre Signed Limited Edition Serigraph of Marilyn Monroe with Perfume
Item Details
A signed limited edition four-color serigraph on paper by Cincinnati artist and inventor Tom Lohre. The print depicts an image of a nude Marilyn Monroe holding a bottle of Chanel No. 5, gazing at the viewer as she applies the scent to her breast. Artist signature is marked in pencil to the lower right, signed “Thos,” a nickname short for Thomas that the artist sometimes used earlier in his career. The print is numbered 5/50 in pencil to the lower left; presented behind glass in a rounded composite frame with a glossy faux wood finish, equipped to hang.
Lohre claims to be the first to have ever painted a spaceship from life; he also attests to have painted the eruption of Mt. Saint Helens from life. Extensive information about the artist and production of the piece can be found on the artist’s website; see link below under Additional Information.
