Vintage Needlepoint of Moses

A needlepoint on cloth by an unknown artist. This work depicts Moses on a hillside raising a staff to the sky while being supported by Aaron and Hur holding up his hands, from Exodus 17:12. The piece is unsigned. It is presented under glass in a gold tone gesso and wood frame with a wire to the verso, ready to hang.

Condition

- some toning and stretching to fabric; heavy wear to frame; broken pieces of gesso at corners; tears to backing paper.
