Late 19th Century Victorian Eastlake Caned Side Chairs
Item Details
A group of four late 19th century Victorian Eastlake caned side chairs. The walnut frames feature pierced crests with stylized floral motifs above vertical, foliate-incised splats. The reeded stiles continue to downswept, reeded hip supports over caned seats and shaped, front aprons. The chairs rise on ring-turned front legs joined by box stretchers to the square back legs. The chair backs are further embellished with burl-veneered panels.
