Brandt Automatic Cashier and Signal Lantern

A vintage Brandt Automatic Cashier and signal lantern. Featured is one of the first designed registers with the ability to automatically dispense change. The cashier has eight channels to the front for pennies, nickles, dimes, quarters, and half dollars. It is marked to the verso with ‘Brandt Cashier Company, Chicago’. Also included is an unmarked vintage railroad signal lantern. The lantern is fixed with a side hinged door with a red tinted glass center.
Condition
- both pieces were untested for working condition; some scuffs and surface wear throughout; tarnishing and some rust spotting; color fading; dust and debris present.
